Prom 2012
I can't say that it has been a bad or good night but i can say that it would be etched in my memory probably forever.
You see, i have been anticipating prom for quite some time now and now that everything is over, it seems so surreal.Not only about prom, its like how our secondary school life ended, just like that.
I don't know whether to feel happy or sad though, i initially hated Teck Whye Secondary School alot, but now that i think of it, i dont.
I will definately miss my friends and especially my clique.
Would this be the end and we all have different routes already? I am not entirely sure..
16Nov. The date where Prom night and Biology P1 fell.
Biology P1 would end at 3.30pm when Prom would start at 7.00pm
Genius right? Who wouldn't bitch about it. When we do complain about the serious time issue, we were told that we could arrive half an hour later. Right, as if it would be enough.
We told each other if that is the case, it is going to be a memorable night.
I was to meet Mandy at 1pm that day to buy some snacks, we thought we looked like runaway kids with all those luggages and what not. What is so nerve-racking is that i had to carry a bagpack, dress cover with my dress of course, a luggage and jaywalk lol. We looked so awkward not to mention that we bought food for 7 which makes us look liketerrorists runaway kids even more.
We were tired by then and decided to hail a cab which we waited for like 15 minutes.
I considered it quite suay to wait that long for a cab, and thats when silver cab came.
Everything was smooth then, the paper everything and soon we - the sian 4 who had biology paper ( Jiajing Mandy Jasper and me) arrived at M Hotel to put our luggage with Kaijing Darren and Edwin who fortunately ended their papers before us before leaving to 'style' our hair.
We wanted to cab to CityHall but no cab was willing to stop, so we just walked endlessly and reached the MRT and thought it would be a better idea but Mandy and I realized that we didn't brought along our EZ Links card and had to purchase standard tickets.
While waiting for the train to come, Mandy realized that her phone wasn't with her too, she thought her phone might have been with her luggage but luckily decided to make a call to make sure. Thats when the cabby uncle from the silver cab picked up the phone, offered to put her phone in her letterbox, such a nice man.
We entered That's Hairdressing and my hair was managed by Daniel.
He was super friendly, trying to engage in a conversation with me so that the time spent would not be as torturous, he was the one who decided the hairstyle for me too.
I only specially requested for braids and my fringe to be down although he thought it would be better up. He said that he wants to do a nice job for me so that i would remember him HAHA!
Jasper who was done earlier, went ahead back to the hotel due to the time constraint while Mandy still waited for me. I was done about 6.20? and we had to rush back to the hotel, but brilliant, it was raining cats and dogs. We tried to dial for a cab, but the call was on hold till Tanjong Pagar.
Taxi stand queues were so long and we had no choice but to dash in the rain without umbrella.
That's when i took out my skirt - school skirt that i was wearing which Mandy did not have as she took it out back then at the hotel room. We had to use the skirt to shield us from the rain. Ps, i still have FBT ah.
When we reached the hotel lobby, there were people already, classmates and friends who are prepared. And we were still in Teck Whye Uniform who were drenched in the rain, agrh.
They were like - ??? There is really very little time and i just did a simple makeup, and i forgot mascara actually!
We made our entrance at 8, when we entered most people are already seated and as our table at 4A was full, we had to seat with 4C which was a blessing in disguise as we managed to seat with Edwin and Darren. Jasper and Shengyaw however, was unfortunately unable to join us.
A waitress slipped and spilled coke on Kaijing and my dress shortly after we seated, the operation manager ushered us to the washroom and asked if we wanted a room to wash up.
They also offered to wash our dresses!
What was most enjoyable was the taking of the photos and socialising.

Everything was really quick and soon we went up to wash up, packed the area (we basically ransacked the whole place) and played cards to kill time and then Shengyaw had to leave. Probably we don't really have party-ing genes but somehow we ended up staring at each other with music blasting.
Then i suggested to play with makeup, and Kaijing said to do it on the guys.

If i'm not wrong, Kaijing have video-ed down the process, i can't wait to see it myself!
Must have lots of laughter in that video.. hehe.
We ended around 4 and wanted to head down to buy Mac, Kaijing and Darren didn't want to so they stayed behind. We initially wanted to play cards to determine who are able to get cleansing wipes to remove the makeup if not we would have to wear them to buy Mac, but soon it got scraped off and everyone had cleansing wipes.
After we bought the food, for some reasons we couldn't get back to the hotel.
So we ate at Mac and had no choice but to sleep there, but only Mandy and I slept there while the guys didn't want to. They even cover us with their jackets while we're asleep. So nice of them.
Later something happened, ahem, thank you xxxx and we managed to get back into the hotel and all of us slept. Imagine if we didnt took off the makeup lol.
I didnt know anything that happened in the morning cause i was the last one to wake up but i do know that some guys snore while they're asleep hoho don't know who.
The next day we went to Jcube where Kaijing had her hair washed and did a treatment while we roam abit, and after that we all had..
